Short description
Two lifelong friends, Dave and Mitch, lead very different lives. Dave is a married father working at a prestigious law firm, while Mitch is a commitment-free single man. Both believe the other has the ideal lifestyle, leading to a supernatural event where they wake up in each other's bodies. The two must then navigate their new roles and attempt to restore their original lives without causing permanent damage to their respective reputations and relationships.
Directed by David Dobkin, this comedy followed his work on Fred Claus. It stars Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds, with supporting roles played by Leslie Mann and Olivia Wilde. The film was produced by Universal Pictures, Relativity Media, Original Film, and Big Kid Pictures.
With a budget of 52 million USD, the movie earned 76 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is divided, with a rating of 6.2/10 on TMDB but a lower score of 3.5/10 on IMDb. Film critics gave the movie a rating of 4.7/10, which sits between the two audience scores.

- At the beginning of the film, Ryan Reynolds’ character confidently handles a samurai sword. He acquired this skill while preparing for the role in Tom Miller’s action film “Deadpool” (2016).
